M14

The M14 rifle (more formally the United States Rifle, Caliber 7.62 mm, M14) is an American selective fire battle rifle firing 7.62 × 51 mm NATO ammunition. Although largely superseded in military use by the M16 rifle, it remains in limited front line service with the United States Army, Marine Corps, and Navy. The M14 also provides the basis for the M21 and XM25 sniper rifles (not to be confused with the XM25 grenade launcher).

M16
M16 is the
U.S. military designation for a family of rifles derived from the ArmaLite AR-15 and further developed by Colt. It is an assault rifle which fires NATO standard 5.56 mm ammunition. It has been the primary infantry rifle of the United States military since 1967, is in use by 15 NATO countries, and has been the most produced firearm in its caliber.

M4A1
The M4 Carbine is a family of firearms tracing its lineage back to earlier
carbine versions of the M16, all based on the original AR-15 made by ArmaLite.

The weapon is a shorter and lighter version of the M16A2 assault rifle, achieving 80% parts commonality with the M16A2. The M4 has selective fire options including semi-automatic and three-round burst (like the M16A2), while the M4A1 has a "full auto" option in place of the three-round burst. The M4A1 is sometimes also found with a heavier barrel to withstand heat from sustained fully-automatic fire.

M8
The XM8 is the project name for a lightweight
assault rifle system that was under development by the United States Army from the late 1990s to early 2000s. The Army worked with the small arms manufacturer Heckler & Koch (H&K) to develop the system to its requirements in the aftermath of the OICW contract, for which H&K had been a subcontractor to ATK. Although there were high hopes that the XM8 would become the Army's new standard infantry rifle, the project was put on hold in mid 2005, and was formally cancelled on October 31, 2005.

General Dynamics was involved in latter stages and H&K had plans to produce the rifle at a plant in Georgia. H&K was British owned at the start of the project, but was later bought back by a group of German investors. Engineering work was done at facilties in the United States and Germany.

IW-80 A2
SA80 (Small Arms for the 1980s) is a family of related arms that include the
British Armed Forces's standard combat rifle. It is of the bullpup configuration. Originally designed and manufactured by the Enfield Royal Small Arms Factory (now BAE Systems Land Systems Munitions & Ordnance), they were introduced into service in 1985 and are likely to remain the primary infantry weapon in British use until 2015.

MK.48
The Mk 48 Mod 0 is a lightweight
machine gun firing the 7.62 × 51 mm NATO cartridge. It is manufactured by Fabrique Nationale Manufacturing, Inc., a division of FN Herstal based in the United States. The Mk 48 has been developed in conjunction with the U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM), which has recently adopted the weapon and started its fielding process, starting with special operations units.

HK5
The Heckler & Koch MP5 is a family of
submachine guns developed by German weapons manufacturer Heckler & Koch (HK) in the 1960s.

HK36
The G36 (company designation, Bundeswehr designation Gewehr G36) is an
assault rifle designed in the early 1990s and manufactured in Germany by Heckler & Koch. It is the service rifle of the German Armed Forces. A family of variants exists many of which have been adopted by police or military forces.

M60E3
In the U.S. military, the M60 has largely been replaced by various versions of the M240 as a medium machine gun, and by the M249 SAW as a squad automatic weapon. However, it remains in use in every branch, as well as some other countries (another major user was Australia); it continues to be manufactured into the 21st century.
